So you're are at the salon and your "stylist" ask you the question. You know the question. Its that awful dreadful question that annoys you at your bi weekly salon visit. Trim? EEEEEEEEK!! You manage to dodge the question with a smile and reply firmly NO. You like the length. Dare you cut them raggedy jagged ends and risk your beautiful length that you admire? Hahaha! Who are you kidding? If you notice, stylist is in "quotations " because your real stylist should indeed encourage trimming off your dead hair. There are plenty of sources that say your hair will continue to grow even if you don't cut your ends...
But let's be honest. Lets be serious and check out pictures of those who have been in denial about their dead ends. Yes the hair does grow but does it look nice? Neat? Healthy? Or does it look haggard? Uneven? Your hair should be healthy. There's nothing healthy about death!!! Why do we hold on to dead hair? Holding on to hair that hasn't been trimmed grows, but its has a brittle texture which is a little hard for some to manage. Trimming off your dead ends promotes healthy hair. Of course it takes more than trimming your ends for healthy hair but its a start for some. A great shampoo/conditioning/moisture regime is also needed. When you care for your hair the proper way the less you will have split dead ends. So let's get rid of those dead ends and promote healthy flowing hair!

I too had been in deep denial about the necessity of cutting my ends. My hair wizard trimmed about 2 inches off and the evenness made my hair look noticeably better. I then proceeded to braid so we will see how it looks when I take it out. (Fingers Crossed)
